Finding answers to health issues can be challenging. At our office, we offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation with Dr. Clark to determine how we may be able to assist you with chiropractic care. Do you accept insurance? Yes, we accept and work with most insurance plans. If you have questions on a specific plan, please call our office or our team will discuss with you at your first office visit. Is chiropractic safe? Yes! Chiropractic uses conservative and natural solutions to reduce the chance or need of invasive and costly treatments such as drugs and/or surgery. What is a subluxation? A subluxation occurs when one or more bones of the spine have increased tension or compression and cause interference to the communication of the nervous system and other structures. When the nerves are in an irritated state they can cause symptoms such as pain, swelling, tenderness, tingling, burning, and numbness. What is the cracking/popping sounds during an adjustment? Not all adjustments create a “crack.” However, the audible sound commonly produced during traditional chiropractic adjustments is the release of gas (nitrogen) from synovial joints. This gas can be built up from aberrant bio-mechanics associated with vertebral subluxations. Additional chemicals are released during the adjustment which reduce muscle tension, increase immune function and create a sense of ease in the body. |
